Sue Stewart started at the BCPS on a casual basis in 2010 in the Dolphins class and is now employed as the Dolphin/Kindergarten Assistant four days a week.
Sue’s role in the room, under the direction of the teacher, is to assist in the supervision of educational activities and help with the everyday organisation of the classroom routines, thus giving the Teacher more time for planning and teaching.
In 2009, Sue completed the Certificate III in Education Support – Teachers Aide (Special) and has since worked in many schools Primary, High School and a Special Needs Unit in the area. Her background is in Floristry and Business Management, so she has experience in a creative industry with a hands on approach.
Sue also established and co-ordinated Byron Bay Playgroup in 2008, to fulfil a need in the community. Sue has lived in Byron Bay since 1995 and is a mum and carer of two children together with her husband, Frank. She is a committed team member and loves the challenges and joys of working in the classroom.
