Belinda

business Manager

1. What is your background?

I was born in Brisbane and moved to Bundaberg at an early age.  I have a twin sister and we started primary school in a very small township in Rosedale, Bundaberg.  We spent much of our childhood on a small crop farm until returning to Brisbane for the remainder of our schooling.  I met my partner in Brisbane, upon moving to Victoria for several years on the south coast before moving to his home town of Ballina almost 6 years ago.  I have a 19 year old daughter along with two young boys aged 4 and 6.

2. What do you remember best about primary school?

The best thing I can remember about primary school is the friendships I created along with winning an art award in year 1.  I loved the small school community.

3. Where else have you worked and how has it shaped your outlook?

I have spent most of my working life in Administration roles, working in both Federal and State government departments.  This enabled me to develop further administration/management skills and provided me with the opportunity to study at university at a post graduate level.  I completed by Masters of Business Administration in 2010.

4. Why do you enjoy working at BCPS?

Although I have only been working at BCPS for a short while, I love working at the school. It has such a vibrant, community feel to the school and everybody makes you feel extremely welcome.  It’s great to get to know the children and families on a first name basis.

5. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

My three beautiful children are my greatest achievement along with completing my Masters of Business Administration whilst juggling family and work life.

6. What aspirations still lie ahead of you?

To raise my children into healthy happy adults and providing them with the best opportunities possible.

7. What occupies your time outside school hours?

Spending time with my family and friends occupies most of my spare time; however I love to go camping, play netball and spending time at the beach when possible.
